Mark A. Knaack Sr.

He was born October 21, 1939, in Crystal Lake to Louis and Fern (Wakely) Knaack.

He was a lifelong resident of Crystal Lake and was known to many as “The Plumber.” He was a diehard White Sox and Bears fan.

He is survived by his children, Lori (Bill) Kirkelie, Mark Knaack, Jr., James Knaack, and Sheri (Brad) Ashton; his grandchildren, Billy and Katie Kirkelie, and Dale and Kortnie Knaack; his sisters, Phyllis Buster, Linda Reynolds, Arlette Temple, and Candy Anderson; his brothers, Kurt, Ron, and Craig Knaack; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Dennis, David and Louis Knaack Jr.; and his sister, Joanne Timm.

A visitation will be from 4pm until the Memorial service at 6:30pm on Thursday, December 9, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

Interment will be private.
