Melanie was a very sweet , loving and caring person. She wanted nothing more than for her family to succeed and take care of themselves. I am thankful for the help and kindness she gave me while I was with her granddaughter Lyla. I give my condolences to her family.

I am very sorry to read of the passing of Mrs. Rost in today's paper.  I remember her fondly as she taught piano and guitar to our 3 children (Karen Bergslien, Anne Bergslien & Danny Trebac) over 12 years. The piano recitals were the best. She even filled in as "Grandma" for our son at his school's Grandparent's Day.  Melanie had a big heart and was very caring.  I remember her  fondly as loving her family, her music and her pets.

Melanie was such a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She nutured and loved all the children in her life..she also loved teaching music to children..she was always so very kind to me. Now, it's her time to rest and be reunited with her loved ones in Heaven. I send my respect to you Melanie and bid you a restful sleep..To the family she leaves behind, I send my prayers of comfort for your saddened hearts..

You were a great woman . I was glad to know you . You had the biggest heart in the world . I know you are looking down on those you love the most . Thank you for being so kind to me

I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Rost's passing. She was a dear friend and my music teacher in grade school as well as my piano instructor from grade school until the time I attended the American Conservatory. Mrs. Rost took the train with me from Crystal Lake to downtown Chicago on the day I had my entry audition. I belonged to a group of friends who used to travel to a different retirement home or state hospital each month to entertain the patients. RIP Melanie. You were a kind, generous and loving person. My life is much better and fuller in many ways because of you. We shared the love of music and piano playing for many years. Thank you. My condolences to all the family and friends.

Melanie was a wonderfully kind woman.  We will always think kindly of her.  I am so happy I had a great visit with her only a few days before she left us.

I was saddened to learn of the death of Melanie, and yet thankful that her burdens have been set aside, and that she now dwells in the greater fullness of God where she can experience God with a greater clarity than possible upon earth.
