

She was born May 15, 1922, in Chicago, to Sylvester and Katherine (Fudala) Sergey. On Oct. 24, 1942, she married Vernon Robbins in Chicago. They spent 64 years together before his passing in 2006. In her younger years, she participated in her children's activities, events and volunteered as a den mother. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, cooking and traveling. Her family was very important to her and always came first.
She is survived by her children, Katherine (Richard) DeMichael, Bill (Peggy) Robbins, Larry (Marcia) Robbins and David (Karen) Robbins; her grandchildren, Kathleen (Lance) Broske, Jim (Stacey) DeMichael, Linda (Tim) Poeschel, Jennifer Robbins, Steven Robbins, Dawn (Christopher) Niziolek, Mike Robbins, Michael Robbins and Greg Robbins; her great-grandchildren, Trevor and Taylor Jenette DeMichael, Lukas and Camden Broske and Jacob and Joshua Poeschel; a sister, Irene Figliulo; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernon; and her sister, Betty Goto.
The visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake. The funeral Mass celebration will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Thomas Church Outreach, 272 King St., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
