Betty Jean Scott Hinkle, 74, of Vinemont-Battleground, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at her residence.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Moss Service Chapel, with Brother Mike Marcum officiating. Interment will be in Good Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Hinkle was preceded in death by sisters, Paralee Cooper and Wilma Dean Dleveland; a brother, Dwight Scott; and her parents, Leon Scott and Edith Scott.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Gene Hinkle; sons, Rick (Charlotte) Hinkle and Randy (Shauna) Hinkle; daughter, Nina Hinkle; sisters, Hilda Curvin and Pauline Bridges; grandchildren: Kari Hinkle Yeager, Karla Hinkle, Meredith Hinkle, Ben Hinkle and Hayden Hinkle; a great-grandchild, Hudson Yeager.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 27, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
