Mr. Carl Barnes "Mater" Phillips

Funeral services for Mr. Carl Barnes “Mater” Phillips, age 67 of Cullman will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery, with Bro. G.T. Robertson officiating.

Mr. Phillips was born in Cullman on January 14, 1947, to the late J.M. & Marie Robertson McBrayer Phillips; he passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Carl preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Shirley Phillips and one brother Jeff Phillips.

Survivors include 3 – Sons – James (Stephanie) Phillips, Teddy (Brandy) Phillips & Jonathan Phillips;5 – Grandsons – Justin (Natasha) Jones, Matt (Ashley) Jones, Bobby Phillips, Mathew Phillips & Brandon Phillips; 3 – Great-Grandchildren – Ashton Jones, Darius Jones & Kayden Phillips; 3 – Sisters – Sharon (Jerry) Hamm, Kathy (Danny) Boatrite & Martha (Rickey) Hamm; 5 – Brothers – Jerry (Connie) Phillips, Odell (Bernice) Phillips, Wayne (Shelia) Phillips, Bobby (Reba) Phillips & Jimmy Phillips; and a Host of Nieces & Nephews & Great-Nieces & Great-Nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Noah Water, Jeremy Hamm, Tony Boatrite, Jeffery Smith, Mancie Chadwick & Joseph Millwood.
