Dear R.J., Ross, and Seth~ As I I put out our Thanksgiving and then Christmas decorations this year…I couldn’t help but smile my typical smile as I carefully placed a few of our decorations…gifted from my dear friend Carol D. in 2006 and 2008. I also did my typical of making my mental note “remember Carol D’s birthday December 22nd”.  My heart smiled and I reminisced…as always…missing the Horstmans…and missing my dear friend Carol D.  What a SHOCK to open my Facebook and see a post from Seth announcing his mom’s passing!!!! Ray and I are heartbroken at such news…so deeply sad. We have not ceased lifting all of you in prayer…trusting the Lord to meet each of you at your moment by moment point of need. And oh how we wish we could be at the memorial service today December 3 to honor our dear friend and to honor all of you. Unfortunately that is not possible. Please accept our deepest sympathy and prayers and know we have always loved the Horstmans. Your friendship of years gone by left a permanent place in our hearts. Carol D. will  always be remembered and we anticipate the day we will see her once again in heaven. Blessings, peace, strength, courage, and joy are prayed for you today and will be in the days ahead. ~ Amy (Ray)
