

Clifford Johnson was born May 28, 1925 to George and Birdie Mae Johnson and grew up in Marshall County where he attended Red Hill School. He came from a large farming family of 9 brothers and 3 sisters of which he is survived by one sister, Ima Jean Johnson.
Clifford was married for 65 years to the love of his life, Nellie Agnes Reynolds Johnson. Together they reared 3 daughters: Karen (James) Munger, Kathy (Dennis) Tucker and Jean (Michael) Arrowood. Clifford is also survived by six adoring grandchildren who will serve as his pall bearers as he had requested. They are: Jennifer Munger (Brian) Gillispie, Michael Tucker, Amanda Tucker, Meghan Arrowood (Brint) Roden, Lindsey Arrowood (Chris) Lamm, and Bryan Arrowood. He was also loved by seven great grandchildren: Conner Gillispie, Cassidy Gillispie, Makenzie Gillispie, Henry Gillispie, Avery Roden, soon to be born Addie Tate Lamm and one more little Roden on the way.
Clifford was retired from the city of Cullman where he served as the superintendent of the Water Treatment Plant. He was a World War II veteran and proud of his service to his country. Clifford was a member of East Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 60 years where he served the Lord faithfully as an elder, Sunday School teacher and choir member. He loved the East Point church family, as they did him. The Johnson family would like to thank Rev. Phil Nickles and the church for their love and support.
Clifford went to heaven on Feb. 12, 2015.
Visitation will be Sat. Feb. 14 from 3 - 6 p.m at Moss Service Funeral Home. His funeral will be on Sun. Feb. 15 at East Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. He will lie in state at the church from 1 to 2 p.m . Internment will be in Cullman City Cemetery.
The family would like to thank his caregivers Naomi Hilton, Lisa Mariano, and Kristen Faulkner, as well as the nurses from Comfort Care Hospice for there help, concern and care during this difficult time.
