Mrs. Dot Franklin Causey

Funeral Services for Mrs. Dot Franklin Causey, age 84 of Cullman, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Cullman Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Cullman Memory Gardens, with Bro. Del Brock officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at 3:00 p.m.

Mrs. Causey was born in Tupelo, MS on March 17, 1930 to the late Robert Walter & Dollie Gean Franklin. She passed away at UAB Hospital on Monday, April 21, 2014. Dot had worked at Childhaven for 45 years with her final title as the Deputy Director. She was a member of Cullman Church of Christ for 58 years, and had a great love for all of the people who worked and lived there over the years. After her retirement, she actively participated in the Cullman Fidelia club, and loved baking cakes & making candy for everyone she knew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Gene Causey and one brother, Hershell Franklin.

Survivors include her 2 Daughters – Allison Lea Causey and Kathy Causey (Steve) Scruggs; 3 – Sisters – Hazel Street, Geraldean Monaghan & Virginia Miller; Brother - Hassell Franklin; 2 – Grandchildren – Ben Cody (Angie) Scruggs & Richard Franklin (Sylvia) Scruggs; 2 – Great-Grandchildren – Clayde & Kira Scruggs
