Funeral services for Eddie Paul Greer, 79, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Truman Davis and Lane Horton officiating, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Greer died Friday, Feb. 24, at his residence. He was born March 1, 1932, to George David and Jessie Jones Greer. He was a self-employed businessman and a longtime member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Johnny Walker “Buddy” Greer; an infant sister, Vanita Greer; and a sister, Virginia Barber.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Medlock Greer; two daughters, Janice (Harold) Lambert and Diane Freeman; a sister, Dorothy Miller; four grandchildren, Eric Lambert, Jared (Erica) Lambert, Vanita Nichols and Chad (Kristin) Parker; and 10 grandchildren, Tyler Lambert, Braxton Lambert, Austin Nichols, Avery Hand, Isaac Parker, Elaina Lambert, Jalen Lambert and Mary Alysa Lambert, Olivia Parker and Mary Alysa Lambert.
