Mr. Edgar Harmon Yarbrough

The family of Edgar Harmon Yarbrough, 80 of Cullman will celebrate his life at Cathedral of Praise, Vinemont, AL on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Bishop Dwayne Harbison officiating, with burial at Crossroads Cemetery. He will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Moss-Service Funeral Home of Cullman making arrangements.

Mr. Yarbrough departed this life Monday, December 17, 2012 at Cullman Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born January 5, 1932, in Cullman County to Edgar Eugene and Trudie Blackwood Yarbrough.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 61 years, Wilma Sue Cruise Yarbrough; one brother, Harold and one sister, Linda Jean Yarbrough Sullins.

Mr. Yarbrough was well known in his community and a spiritual pillar of Cathedral of Praise. He and his wife were successful poultry farmers for 37 years. His work career included Wayne Farms, where he served as a field man, and Culpepper Realty. He had a love for horses and John Deere tractors. Mr. Yarbrough loved spending time with his family and going to the Senior Center at West Point.

Survivors include three 3 - Sons – Barry (Brenda) Yarbrough of Warrior, Keith (Jill) Yarbrough of Cullman and Tim (Angie) Yarbrough of Moulton; seven 7 – Granddaughters – Brandie (Brad) Waugh of Midway, GA, Halie (Kevin) Jones of Fultondale, Ashley (Eric) Brooks of Decatur, Emily Fleming of Dothan, Katie Fleming of Decatur, Allie Cruz Yarbrough and Krissy Smith of Moulton; four 4 – Grandsons – Heath Thompson of Decatur, Wes (Christi) Yarbrough of Vinemont, Justin (Brooke) Yarbrough of Vinemont and Colton Yarbrough of Vinemont; three 3 – Great-Granddaughters – Samantha Waugh, Cadence and Kye Jones; eight 8 – Great-Grandsons – Michael Waugh, Luke, Owen and Cylas Yarbrough, Bosten and Braxton Yarbrough, Dylan and Dalton Caminita; and a Special Friend – Clara Smith.

The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
