
Funeral Services for Mrs. Ethel Lee Burney, age 81 of Hanceville, will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Grove Cemetery, with Father Bob Blackwood officiating.

Mrs. Burney passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Brookwood Medical Center. She was born on December 19, 1931 in Cleburne County to John Henry and Rebecca Beason James. Ethel was a graduate of Hanceville High School, class of 1951; a member of over 20 years at Grace Episcopal Church, and loved “collecting & antiquing” as a hobby.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ossie Burney and fifteen half- brothers and half-sisters.
She is survived by two 2 – Sons – Larry (Jonna) Burney and Tim (Julie) Burney; four 4 – Grandsons – Michael Burney, Matthew Burney, Sean Burney and Noah Burney; one Step-Granddaughter – Denise Weiser; three 3 – Great-Grandchildren – Jacob Burney, Hunter Burney and Blake Burney and a Host of Nieces & Nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
The family request memorials be made in Lieu-of-Flowers, to Grace Episcopal Church at 305 Arnold Street, N.E. Cullman, AL 35055.
