

Funeral services for Frank McNabb Sr. will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel, Bros. Paul Monk and Perry McCravy officiating, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. McNabb passed away Monday, September 22. He was born January 18, 1933. In 1949, at the age of 16, Frank joined the United States Navy, in which he served 21 years and furthermore retired as a Master Chief in February 1970. He then became employed as facility manager of IBM Corporation in Virginia, and was later transferred to oversee the construction of a new facility building in North Carolina, where he remained until his retirement in 1987. Frank relocated back to his hometown of Cullman in November 1987, where he lived until his death. He was a 50-plus year member of the Hanceville Masonic Lodge.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Albert H. Sr. and Lorena Brown McNabb; three brothers, Albert H. Jr., Edward and Jack McNabb; and the mother of his children and wife of 47 years, Amy Neely McNabb.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Ford McNabb; five children, Judy Hodgson, Robert “Bob” McNabb, Frank McNabb Jr. and Carrie McNabb, all of Cullman, and Gerald McNabb of Virginia; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as several sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
