Garry Pete "Pete" Powers Sr.

Mr. Garry Kent "Pete" Powers Sr. of Cullman Alabama passed away on Saturday August 21, 2010 at his residence at the age of 74. Mr. Powers was born on April 8, 1936 in Cullman to Cohen C. and Eva Owens Powers. Mr. Powers served in the U.S. Army for 21 years as a helicopter pilot and retired from the Army as SFC E7. He also worked at Cullman Regional Medical Center for 26 years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 24, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Cullman Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Entombment will follow the service.

Jr. (Becky) Powers of Birmingham Al., Joseph Cohen Powers and Kellie Chase of Tuscaloosa, Al., 1 Sister: Norma Faye Quick of Cullman, Al., Grandsons: Garry K. III (Kristin) Powers of Cullman, Al., Daniel Preaston (Kristi) Powers of Ft. Hood, Tx., Bryant Alexander Powers of Cullman, Al., David (Amanda) Kreps of Cullman, Al., Joseph (Carrie) Kreps of B'ham, Al., Andrew (Rachel) Kreps of B'ham, Al., Granddaughters: Brittany Nicole Powers of Tuscaloosa, Al., Mary Kreps and Allen Johnson of B'ham, Al., Katie Chase of Tuscaloosa, Al., Great Grandchildren: Bailey, Jasmine and Reagan Powers, Andy, Jay and Forrest Kreps.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. at Moss Service Funeral Home in Cullman Alabama. The family has requested no flowers and to make any donations to United States Veterans Association.
