Hubert Thomas Tucker

Funeral Services for Mr. Hubert Thomas Tucker, age 83 of Jones Chapel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Jones Chapel Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Jones Chapel Cemetery, with Bro. Terry Michael & Bro. Phillip Medlin officiating. He will lie-in-state at the church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Hubert was born in Cullman on February 1, 1931 to the late George Wiley & Margaret Hopper Tucker. He passed away at his home on Friday, October 24, 2014. Mr. Tucker was a long time member at Jones Chapel Church of Christ and drove the school bus route between West Point and Jones Chapel for over 20 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Violet (Elbert) Hale; two brothers, Homer & Hilton Tucker.

Survivors include his Wife of 64 years – Mary Joy Wallace Tucker; 2 – Sons – Keith (Brenda) Tucker of Yorktown, VA & Bruce (Carla) Tucker of San Vito, Italy; one Daughter – Donna (David) Gossett of Cullman; 6 – Grandchildren – Derek (Mary) Gossett, Diana (Joseph) Sims, Ashley Tucker, Rachele Tucker, Luigi Tucker & Brittany (Jonathan) Powell; 8 – Great-Grandchildren – Matthew, Ella, Anna & Sylas Gossett; Ava, Eli, Ali & Alex Sims; 2 – Sister-in-Laws – Nellie Tucker & Jane Tucker; and a Host of Nieces & Nephews.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
