Ireta Dale Pirkle, age 72, passed away at Cullman Regional Medical Center to Heaven - into Doug's open arms - on Friday, March 25, 2022, due to extreme complications related to the cancer that was inside her body. Evon, Jimmy and Garrett were by her side.
Ireta Dale was born March 31, 1949 in Winston County to Raymond and Dolly White. She grew up in the Upshaw Community. She attended Addison High School. She married and had two children. She lived and worked in Hartselle. She had a nursing career. Later she lived and retired in Vinemont. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Vinemont.
Ireta Dale is survived by her daughter, Evon and her husband, Nicky McCurley; her son, Jimmy and his wife, Carla; her grandson, Garrett; and her step-grandson, Mason.
She is also survived by her sister, Nita; her three nieces, Melinda and her husband, Steve Brannon, Tina and her husband, Greg James and Tricia and her husband, Bryan Fryman; and her two nephews, Adam and Jake; and a host of great and great great nieces and nephews.
Ireta Dale was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Douglas Pirkle; her parents, Raymond and Dollie White; her in-laws, Hubert and Vernice Pirkle; her brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Mary White; and her brothers-in-law, Leroy Pirkle and Jackie Wright.
Ireta Dale's children would like to thank family and friends for the prayers, patience and privacy they needed as they experienced her death and then prepared for the burial of her precious bodily remains.
A celebration of life visitation for Ireta Dale will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the celebration of life visitation will be a celebration of life graveside service at 2:00 PM at Cullman City Cemetery, 812 9th Ave SW, Cullman, Alabama 35055, officiated by Kenny Sudduth.
