Jane Smith Shoemake

Funeral services for Jane Smith Shoemake will be on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Moss Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Randy Milligan and Tommy Graves officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time Saturday. Interment will be in Duck River Cemetery.

Mrs. Shoemake passed away on May 7, 2015 at Cullman Regional Medical Center at the age of 84. She was born on March 18, 1931 in Cullman to Dewey Edmund and Tela Jane Armstrong Smith. She was married for 57 years to Artis Duwayne Shoemake. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son-in-law: Allen Lawrence. Mrs. Shoemake was a native of Cullman and a 1949 graduate of Cullman High School. She was a homemaker and a stay at home mom. She was a columnist for the Cullman Times and Cullman Tribune. She also was the author of The Good Hope News and Countryside News. She was an active member of Northside Baptist Church and leaves behind many dear church friends.

Survivors are: 2 Daughters: Sandra Shoemake, Sherrie Lawrence, 2 Granddaughters: Tiffanie Lawrence and Brittanie Weeks, 2 Great Grandsons: Tanner Lawrence and Tristan Weeks, 1 Sister-In-Law: Vonell (James) Horton, 1 Niece: Pat Franklin, 1 Nephew: Larry Horton.
