Mr. Jimmy Ray Chandler

Funeral Services for Mr. Jimmy Ray Chandler, age 76 of Cullman, will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Walker Methodist Cemetery in Springhill, with Pastor Fred Wilks officiating.

Jimmy passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at his residence. He was born on March 23, 1935 in Cullman to Floyd Edgar Chandler and Lillie Gertrude Hancock Chandler. He retired from Buffalo Rock Bottling Co. with 27 years of service, served in the U.S. Air Force as a Radar Operator and had attended Persimmon Grove church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law, Ronald Carden.

Survivors include his two 2 – Sons – Jeff Chandler and Brian (Judy) Chandler; 2 – Step-Daughters – Tracy (Jimmy) Hankins and Missy (Jason) Kimbro; one Step-Son – Mike (Darlene) Gilbert; 2 – Sisters – Carolyn Carden and Hilda Thompson; 3 – Brothers – Gary (Marie) Chandler, Bill Chandler and Darrell (Martha) Chandler; 4 – Grandsons – Jacob, Josh, Jamison and Dallyn one Step-Granddaughter - Kayla Finley and one Step-Grandson - Chris Finley.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
