Rev. J.W. “Dub” Hicks of Cullman Alabama passed away on October 26, 2013 at his residence at the age of 68. He was born in Cullman on January 7, 1945 to William Isaac and Augusta Anne Brown Hicks.
J. W. worked at Hicks Wholesale, he also was the Chairman of The Cullman County Commission for 4 years, he pastored at Anon Baptist Church for 38 years, and he worked as a Crime Victim Officer in Cullman County and he also farmed.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Moss Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Delwin Kilgo officiating. Interment will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors are: Wife: Sandra Tyree Hicks, Daughters: Kimberly (Bill) Robertson, Carolyn (David) Quick, Son: Joseph W. Hicks, Grandchildren: Clint Reeves, Hannah (Kenny) Hamby, A.J. Quick and Elizabeth Quick, Great Aunt: Marylou Hartwig.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Moss Funeral Home from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
