Laylon Gus Gardner Sr., 74, of Cullman passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at his residence. He was born Jan. 26, 1942, in Hayden to Joe and Mary Alice Gardner. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Gardner; sister, Marie Sharp.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at Temple Baptist Church, Rev. Malcolm Carter and Rev. Sam Hollis officiating, with interment in Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Blount County.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Delancy Gardner; daughters, Jennifer (Tim) Caudle, Dana (J.J.) Adams; sons, Laylon (Liz) Gardner Jr., Steve Gardner; sister, Betty Jo (Lester) Goodwin; grandchildren; Olivia Gardner, April Crawford, Aloha Chavers, Bella Gardner, Stevie Gardner, Kashlyn Gardner, Zadie Caudle, Savannah Adams, Cabri Adams, Jonathan Gardner, Mary Gardner, Joey Binion, Gerald and Aubrey Entwisle and 10 great-grandchildren. Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of services.
