Mr. Luther Andrew Moore

Funeral services for Mr. Luther Andrew Moore, age 85, of Redan, will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Redan Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Holly Pond Cemetery, with Rev. Kerry B. Simpson and Rev. Andrew Chambers officiating. Mr. Moore will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Moore passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010.He was born in the Welti area on December 7, 1924 to James and Luller Stisher Moore. Luther had been a carpenter all of his life, a member at Redan Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of the Redan community. He is preceded in death by his parents, a wife, Jewel House Moore and seven brother and sisters.

Survivors include two Daughters, Fay (Carol) Haynes of Blountsville and Brenda (Billy) Shedd of Baileyton; one Son, Frank (Marie) Moore of Holly Pond; eight Grandchildren, Danny Haynes; Tim Haynes; Glenn Haynes; Kim Gillespie; Frankie Moore; Tammy Collier; Roger Shedd and Jeff Shedd; nine Great-Grandchildren, Daniel Haynes; Brian Haynes; Levi Haynes; Tiya Qualls; Ashley Gillespie; Brandon Gillespie; Skylar Collier; Savanna Collier and Kendra Moore; and seven Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great-Grandsons.
