Marie Chapman

Marie Duke Chapman, 78, left us for a better land on Sunday, September 18, 2016. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 10-12 noon at Moss Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at noon in the chapel. Interment will be at Cullman City Cemetery.

Marie was a resident of Vinemont, and a member of the Beulah Church of Christ. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ithama and Zema Duke, step-mother, Hazel Moore Duke, and two brothers, Doyal Duke and Wendel Duke; one step-brother, Tony Moore.

She is survived by her husband, David Chapman; her three sons, Gary Chapman, Richard (Karen) Chapman and Kenneth (Dedra) Chapman, and daughter-in-law Patricia Chapman; six grandchildren, Clint (Cari) Chapman, Blake Chapman, Keely (Zach) Palmer, Colby Chapman, Angela Chapman, and Avery Chapman; her brothers, Monroe Duke, Boyd (Delorise) Duke, Delton (Donna) Duke, and Robert (Betty) Duke, her step-brothers, Billy (Doris) Moore, Wayne (Shirley) Moore, and Charles (Kathy) Moore.

Pallbearers will be Jan Farley, Moye Drake, Ronnie Lord, Allen Guthrie, Barry Heatherly, and James Graves.

Her family would like to thank the loving brethren of the Beulah Church of Christ and Helton Drive Church of Christ for their love and attention, as well as Drs. Schendel and Wheeler, Morningside of Cullman and Gentiva Hospice.
