Mary “Marge” Goodwin of Cullman passed away on April 8, 2018 at the age of 87. She was born in Cullman on October 8, 1930 to R.C. Phillips Sr. and Gladys Caple Phillips. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband James Carlos Goodwin, brother-in-law Wendell Jeff Smith. She was a charter member of the Lioness Club of Cullman, the Red Hat Society, Garden Club and Cullman First Baptist Church.
Funeral services are Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 3 PM at Moss Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lloyd Stilley officiating. Interment will be in Cullman City Cemetery.
Survivors are her sons Eddie (Melanie) Goodwin of Panama City Beach, Florida, Mark (Stacey) Goodwin of Jasper, Alabama, sister Betty Smith of Cullman, brother R.C. Jr. (Jeanne) Phillips of Cullman.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff at Pine Place Assisted Living in Arley for the loving care they provided to Mrs. Goodwin.
Pallbearers are: Paul Pinyan, Andrew Pinyan, Peyton Little, Ed Lay, Bob Forbus and Euel Glaze. Honorary pallbearers are: Will Pinyan, Terry Richie, Wade Caple, Roger Caple and Doug Abbott.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Lioness Club of Cullman or Pine Place Assisted Living in Arley @150 Hickory Lane, Arley, Alabama 35541.
Visitation is on Saturday from1 PM until 3 PM at Moss Funeral Home.
