Ms. Mary Cricket "Cricket" Gladys Waldrop Hankins

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary “Cricket” Gladys Hankins, age 75 of Baileyton, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Cullman Memory Gardens, with Bro. Kenneth Widner officiating.

Mary passed away on August 21, 2010 at her residence. She was born on August 22, 1934 in Morgan County to Elvin Dewitt Waldrop and Iolar Widner. She had worked in the area nursing homes for twenty five years, and taking care of those in need was her past-time, but she loved her family and tending to her flower gardens. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Clifford Alan Hankins, one grandson, Joshua Hankins and one brother, Milford Waldrop.

Survivors include her three Daughters – Hazel (Cliff) Cobbs, Juanita (Doug Steele) Hankins and Vickie (Danny) Golden; three Sons – Coy (Pat) Hankins, Jr.; Jerry Dennis (Patricia) Hankins and Gerald Wayne (Cathy) Hankins; two Sisters – Roberta Zinsmeister and Annie Wilhite; seven Grandchildren – Nathan Hankins, Tony Hankins, Tracy Hankins, Jody Hankins, Dustin Strickland, Eric Limbaugh and Jana Cobbs; seven Great-Grandchildren – Josie Hankins, Madisyn Hankins, Dominick, Shelby Jones, Cory Jones, Abby Strickland and Danny Strickland.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Hankins, Tony Hankins, Danny Golden, Doug Steele, Eric Limbaugh and Cliff Cobbs.
