Mr. Michael Joe Watkins

Funeral Services for Mr. Michael Joe Watkins, age 50 of Birmingham, will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel Funeral Home, with burial to follow at New Mt. Zion Cemetery, with Rev. Terry Tingle officiating.

Mr. Watkins was born in Birmingham on April 2, 1964 and passed away at Cullman Regional Medical Center on Saturday, August 16, 2014. He is preceded in death by his mother, Janeth Cleghorn and a brother, Max Watkins, Jr.

Survivors include his Wife of 25 years – Annette Stewart Watkins; 2 – Daughters – Amber Michelle (Fiancé – Scotty Phillips) Stewart; Tanya Lasha Watkins; 8 – Grandchildren – Brenton, Marchese & Alexia Russell; Trinity Thacker; Kaci, Kaitlin, Brittney & Brianna Phillips; Father – Max (Marie) Watkins, Sr.; 4 – Brothers – Marty (Lisa) Watkins, Nicholas Watkins, Donny (Peggy) Romine & Billy (Debbie) Romine; and one Sister-in-Law – Tammy Watkins.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
