Mr. Olen Randall "Randy" Hembree

Funeral Services for Mr. Olen Randall “Randy” Hembree, age 64 of Vinemont, will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Kelton Williams officiating.

Mr. Hembree passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 2, 1947 in Cullman to the late Olen Howard “Pete” Hembree and Doris Marie England Hembree. Randy was a member of Bethlehem West Baptist Church, had retired from L&N/CSX Railroad with 38 years of service; had served in the National Guard; enjoyed cattle farming, and loved to play golf with his ‘Buddies”; and in his younger “Cowboy Days” this “southpaw” was a bull rider and team roper. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law, Sonya Hembree.

Survivors include two 2 - Daughters – Tracey (Steven) O’Brien and Marcie (William) Lampkin; one Son – Luke Hembree; one Brother – Kerry Hembree and 4 – Grandchildren – Malory O’Brien, Clint O’Brien, Alex Drummond and Gracie Denney.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, August 20, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu-of-flowers, the family request donations be made to, the American Lung Association or to the American Cancer Society.
