

Reverend Oscar David Eddleman formerly of Cullman Alabama passed away on Tuesday March 29, 2011 at Fair Haven Retirement Center in Birmingham at the age of 86. Mr. Eddleman was born in Cullman on August 15, 1924 to Arthur Winn and Sarah Octavia Phillips Eddleman. He served in The United States Army during World War II and he was a retired Methodist Minister after serving in the ministry for forty years. He is preceded in death by a son: Larry Darrel Eddleman Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April 1, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Fairview United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Butler officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Eddleman will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years: Anthonetta Hesterley Eddleman, 1Daughter-In-Law: Vanita Eddleman of Gardendale, Al., 1 Sister: Flora Jane Caudle of Tullahoma, Tn., 3 Grandchildren: Larry Darrel Jr. (Karen) Eddleman of Trussville, Al., Jason Todd Eddleman of Gardendale, Al., Leslie (Jeff) Straight of Trussville, Al., 3 Great Grandchildren: Alayna Jo Eddleman, Larry Darrel “Trace” Eddleman III, Annabeth Eddleman.
Pallbearers will be: James Farmer, John Farmer, Gary Morris, Trent Chandler, Jeff Chandler and Bobby Murphy.
In lieu of flowers: donations can be made to The American Cancer Society in memory of Larry Darrel Eddleman Sr.
There will not be a visitation at Moss Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church during the lie in state time on Friday.
