Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at St. John’s Evangelical Protestant Church,
with the Revs. John Richter, Adam King, Steve Wood, Jim Walker, and Ben
Karwoski officiating. Interment will follow in Cullman City Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kurtz passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanette Brown Carter and Les
Carter; brother, Bruce Carter; and sister, Jocey Johnson. She had worked
as a teacher and was a native of Escanaba, Mich.
Survivors include her husband, Pastor Bob Kurtz; daughters, Kim Spicer
and Beth Carpenter; sisters, Sandra Maker and Debbie Simon; seven
grandchildren: Dakota, Dallas, Dillon, Brian and Blake Spicer, Christi
Carpenter and Johnny Carpenter.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in Christ Hall at St. John’s
Evangelical Protestant Church.
