Paul Barker

Mr. Barker passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, May 14, 1952 to Vernon Oris Barker and Dortha Barker. He retired from U.S. Department of Defense after 37 years of loyal service.

Paul was a very loving and caring man who never met a stranger. He had a love for all things challenging. MacGyver comes to mind when thinking of Paul, yet the end result of his task was always beautiful. Paul was a wonderful man who selflessly enjoyed making the people around him better.

He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother Ronnie Barker.

Survivors include his mother, Dortha Barker, his loving wife of 11 years, Janice Apel Morgan; son, Jarrett Barker (Jana) of New Market; daughter, Keri Bell (Derek) of Madison; stepson, Jonathan Easterwood (Mandi) and stepdaughter, Jennifer (Wes) Harding both of Cullman; grandchildren, Anthony Sawyers, Aidyn and Savannah Bell, John Harding and Austin Easterwood.

Visitation will be Friday, September 15th from 6-8 pm at Moss-Service Funeral Home. With an additional viewing before service from 10-11 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church,
