

Funeral services for Mr. Paul Edmon Pruitt, age 85 of Cullman will be Monday, December 15, 2014 at 11 am from Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Jack Collins and Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Pruitt passed away Friday at his residence. He was born August 18, 1929 to Louis A. and Ruby L. Reeves Pruitt. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. He leaves behind a big hole in everyone’s hearts. Paul was a member of North Side Baptist Church, charter member and past president of the Cullman County Rescue Squad, brought the first ambulance service to Cullman, worked for the Hayes corporation, was a Cullman County Deputy Sheriff and a bailiff and juvenile transport officer for Judge Kim Chaney.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two younger brothers; David an Edsil, two younger sisters; Esther Collier Ballenger and Betty Self.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years; Susie Armstrong Pruitt (their anniversary was celebrated December 7), three sons; Dr. Michael Paul Pruitt, Keith Edmon (Tammy) Pruitt, and Wade (Leslie) Pruitt, three grandsons; Joshua Keith (Emily) Pruitt, Benjamin Paul and Leslie Clay Pruitt, one great granddaughter; Evelyn Hope Pruitt, one sister; Jean (Bill) Schenker and a host of nieces, nephews and their children.
Donations may be made in memory of Paul to North Side Baptist Church.
