Janice has always been my very best friend.  We have known each other for over fifty years or more.  We first met when we started going to Channelview Baptist Church; later to become Bayshore Baptist Church.    We shared so much between us growing up.  We were there for each other through so many situations and obstacles.   We knew Jesus was in our hearts and tried to keep Him first and foremost in our lives. 
 I can remember spending many nights at her house watching scary movies on tv, eating our fudge, and whatever else we could find.  We also cried like babies when we would watch sad movies.    Then we would laugh at ourselves because we caught each other crying!  Her mother, Jean, would sometimes sit up with us and would cry with us.  I dearly loved that woman!  I think Janice was just like her in so many ways.
I can remember walking to Flukinger's grocery store after pooling all our financial resources together (selling coke bottles, etc.,) and buying a 45 record and bringing it back to Janice's house and playing it till we wore it out!!
Janice was such a giving person.  She always tried to meet their needs the best that she could.  I always looked up to her as a friend, mentor, confidant, and Christian.  She had a beautiful voice for singing and rejoiced in sharing her talent for the Lord.  I could listen to her sing for hours.  
I wish I would've stayed in contact with her more over the years.  But I will always have these precious memories with me always.  When I think of the growing up years, Janice will always be there.  She was such an important part of my life and I will cherish those memories forever.  I love you all and will pray for your comfort as you try and go on in the time ahead.
