Thomas "Jay" Connell

Mr. Thomas “Jay” Connell Vinemont Alabama passed away on Wednesday April 7, 2010 at the age of 88. Mr. Connell was born on August 8, 1921 in Cullman Alabama to William Alvis and Pearl Mae Petit Connell. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army in Attu, Germany, France, Belgium and Italy. He also was active in The Battle Of The Bulge. He is preceded in death by his wife: Savannah Marks Connell and a son: Sherel Connell. Funeral services will be on Friday April 9, 2010 at Moss Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. David McDonald officiating. Interment will be in New Mt. Zion Cemetery. Survivors are: 5 Daughters: Lyndia Gail (Ray) Harris of Crane Hill, Sharon (Tommy) Williams of Vinemont, Karon (Mark) Smith of Cullman, Freida (Ed) Calvert of Good Hope, Samantha Welch of Vinemont, 2 Sons: Alvis (Barbara) Connell of Falkville, Byron (Donna) Connell of Falkville, Sister: Evelyn Edwards of Lakeland Fl., Daughter-In-Law: Margaret Connell of Hanceville, 16 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Moss Funeral Home on Thursday April 8, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. until 9 P.M.
