

Tony W. Floyd, 59, of Gallipolis, OH passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 at OSU Hospital in Columbus, OH. He was born November 18, 1951 in Cullman, AL - son of the late James Elbert and Ida Naomi Floyd. He was a 1970 graduate of West Point High School, West Point, AL.
He started his career in power plant construction in 1970, and was a member of the Boilermakers Lodge # 667 of Winfield, WV for over thirty years, retiring in 2010.
He was a member of the Morning Dawn Lodge #7 of F. & A.M. of Gallipolis, a member of the Scottish Rite, and also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
Tony is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Petty Floyd, four sisters, Joyce Huffstutler of Cullman, AL, Allene McBrayer of Cullman, Ovell Jones of West Point, AL, and Mervel Stevens of Decatur, GA, and many nephews and nieces and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Floyd and Bert Floyd, a sister Myrl Greene - all of Cullman County.
Services will be Saturday, January 8 at 2 PM at Moss Funeral Home in Cullman, AL with Bro. Vernon Willis officiating. Burial will be at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Falkville, AL. Friends may call Friday, January 7 from 6 to 8 PM.
