e was born December 10, 1935 to Elvin & Alma Jourdon Shelton.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Shelton Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with interment in the adjoining cemetery. He will lie-in-state from 1:00 untill 2:00 at the church. Rev. Kenneth Shelton and Rev. Chris Chambless officiating. Visitation is Saturday from 6:00 PM untill 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife: Colene Shelton, a sister: Gertrude Darnell, a brother: Tharlin Shelton, a brother-in-law: Marrell (Glenda) Parker and a host of nieces and nephews.
