Virginia Ruth Anderson

Ms. Anderson was a very talented cake decorator and managed the bakery at Winn Dixie 38 years. She was a part of a big loving family. She was a prime member of Cullman First United Methodist Church for 45 years and was a charter member of the Cullman Lioness Club and was active for 41 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lonnie and Zora Cone; sisters: Inez Whaley and Mable Johnson; brothers: Floyd Cone, Arvil Cone, Andrew Cone, Talmadge Cone and Eugene Cone.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Maria Michelle Johnson Urso (Joe Goss); son, Mitchell Glenn Anderson (Caroline Sellers); granddaughter, Angelina Chantel Urso; grandson: Clint Urso and wife Torey Urso, Colter Anderson and Dalton Anderson; sister: Margarette Laney and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Celebration of Life for Ms. Virginia Ruth Anderson will be on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Cullman First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Fairview West Cemetery in Hanceville. Pallbearers will be: Mitchell Anderson, Clint Urso, Colter Anderson, Dalton Anderson, Joseph Goss, Barry Laney, Adam Wilbanks, Tim Laney and Keith Langston. Moss Service Funeral Home is directing.
