Funeral services for Virginia Juanita Burney, 86, Hanceville, will be at
2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at Mt. Grove Baptist Church, with the
Rev. Gary Sartin and the Rev. Dudley Brock officiating. Burial will
follow at Mt. Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Burney will lie in state at the church from 1-2 p.m.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Burney died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Hanceville Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Clifford King
Burney; brothers: Raymond, Willis, Clevon, Roger Dale, Dennis, and
Kenneth Grimmitt, and twins, Billy Wayne and Eulas Grimmitt. Daughters:
Judy Johnston and Kathy Burney
Survivors include sons: Derrol King Burney, Ronald (Barbara) Burney,
Dwight (Debbie) Burney, Steve (Mickey) Burney, Greg Burney and Rodney
Burney; daughters: Faye (James) Hunt, Barbara (William) Burk, Juanita
(Johnny) Reid, Joan (Dexter) Perkins, Connie Roquemore, and Jill (David)
Rouse; sister: Glenda (Burl) Drake; 29 grandchildren; a host of
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at Moss-Service Funeral Home.
