Walter "Randy" Randall Braswell, age 63, of Cullman, Alabama peacefully passed away at his residence on Monday, October 25, surrounded by family following a 3 month struggle with pancreatic cancer. He had recently retired after 20 years of dedicated service with AT&T. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cullman, and active with the Hoover/Bostick Sunday School Class. He was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving with the 82nd Airborne, also known as the “All American” unit.
He was born on April 13, 1958 to Alice Ann Gaddey Braswell and Brinton Braswell and was the youngest of 4 siblings. Randy was a true family man, and enjoyed spending time on his dock at Smith Lake and watching his boys play.
His family would like to extend thanks to Comfort Care Hospice and the Hoover/Bostick Sunday School Class for their kind assistance during this difficult time.
Randy is survived by his wife, Amy Braswell; his son, Randall Heath Braswell; his son, Daniel Braswell; and his son, Luke Braswell; his sister, Dianne James; his sister, Barbara Bowden and his brother, Britt Braswell; his grandchild, Kaydence Braswell; his grandchild, Kylie Braswell; his nephew, Brinton Braswell III; his nephew, Bill James and his niece, Laura Baker.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Brinton Braswell and his mother, Alice Ann Gaddey Braswell.
A visitation for Randy will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Moss Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd Avenue NW, Cullman, AL 35055. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Cullman First Baptist Church, 501 2nd Avenue SW, Cullman, AL 35055. An interment will occur Friday, October 29, 2021 at Cullman City Cemetery, 812 9th Street SW, Cullman, AL 35055.
