Alfred John Cierpial

Alfred John Cierpial, age 78, of Culpeper, VA, passed away at UVA Novant Culpeper Hospital Sunday, February 2, 2020. Born January 21, 1942 in Germany to Frank Cierpial and Antonina Pytel Cierpial, Alfred worked in the medical supplies field as a manager. He enjoyed gardening and fishing, painting, carpentry and spending time with his family. His children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life. Surviving relatives include his spouse Marla Cierpial of Culpeper, VA; children, Jennifer Ackerman and her husband Michael of Amissville, VA and Gregory Cierpial and his fiance’ Lisa Lyle; grandchildren, Emma Ackerman and Ethan Ackerman; a brother Henry Cierpial and his wife Carmen of Denver, CO; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2020 with interment to follow in Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 E. Chandler Street (New Grounds), Culpeper, VA.
