Alice Christine Lourie

Alice Christine Lourie, 76, of Culpeper, VA passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 in the comfort of her family. Mrs. Lourie was born to Woodrow Jewell and Edith Wellington Jewell December 19, 1941. She is survived by her husband Alan Lourie and their daughters, Joanne Lourie Pyle and Janice Lourie Bates. Other family members include her sons-in-law Michael Pyle and Chuck Bates, grandchildren Jordan and Justine Pyle as well as, Lexi, Brady, Will, and Lauren Alice Bates. She is also survived by her sister LuAnn Jewell of Kentucky, and a special cousin Brenda Schreier of New Jersey. She will be dearly missed by many friends and family in the community and around the world. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carol Jewell. As per her request, there will not be a funeral service. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
