

On July 3, 2016, Douglas Henry Jenkins went to be with his Lord. Doug was born to Eugene Henry Jenkins and Rebecca Ford Utz Jenkins on March 17, 1951. He was the grandson of Henry Luther & Rosie Jane Leathers Jenkins and Jacob C. & Lilly Clore Ford.
Doug was a long-time member and Deacon of Robinson River Primitive Baptist Church in Brightwood.
He spent his career in the accounting and financial profession and worked as Deputy Clerk/Collector for the Fauquier County Treasurer’s Office.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, his aunts Arline V. Jenkins, Lillian J. Woodward, Juanita Settle, and Mary Utz, and uncles Clarence Edwin Jenkins, Joseph A. Ford, Jacob D. Ford, George N. Ford, Yancey W. Ford, and Aubrey G. Ford.
He is survived by his brother Charles L. Utz (Doris) and their children David & Greg Utz, along with great-nephews Kyle, Adam and Eric, and great-niece Hailey Utz, aunts Annie Weaver and Josephine Ford, and good friend and caregiver Rob Carlysle.
Additional survivors include his cousins: Lisa Woodward Hutcherson, Heather D. Weakley, Shirley Jenkins Bonovitch, Sara Bonovitch Shell, Aaron Bonovitch, Thomas E. Jenkins, Christopher E. Jenkins, Abigail and Tristan Jenkins, Audrey Jenkins, Betty Edwards, Shawn and Brandon Edwards, Betty McAllister Hoyt, Wayne McAllister, Faye Utz Baker, Charlotte Gallihugh, Mildred Conrad, Wanda Jenkins, JoAnn Addison, Elaine Bunch, Fannie Utz, Stanley Settle Jr., Pat Jenkins, Phil Settle, Barbara Coskey, Helena Ford, Mark Ford, Jeff Ford, Gail Ford, Jake Ford, Yancey Ford Jr., and Kitty Lohr. Doug also leaves behind his beloved furbabies, Lucky and Angel Boy.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
