Edgar Walker Sims III

Edgar Walker Sims, III, 53, of Culpeper, VA passed away, unexpectedly, January 20, 2019. Edgar was born to Edgar W. “Sonny” Sims, Jr. and Patricia Jones Sims on July 22, 1965. He was the owner of Sims Tree and Handyman Service, a member of Crooked Run Baptist Church and a Redskins fan. He had a huge personality and an even bigger heart and was loved by so many. Surviving Edgar are his father, Edgar W. Sims, Jr. and wife Jeannette; his siblings, Cindy Sims, Elizabeth Sims-DeShields, Joseph Desper and wife Amanda, and Tammy Desper, five nieces and nephews and friends too numerous to count. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Jones Irwin, his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Edgar W. Sims, Sr. and his maternal grandparents Allen Jones and Georgia Robbin. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA, with Pastor Brad Hales officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be private.
