Ellen Marie Becker

Ellen was born in Philadelphia, PA, spent most of her childhood in Williamsport, PA, she then moved to Harrisburg, PA. Here she met and married her husband Steve. In 1975, she and Steve and their four children moved to and made their home in Culpeper, Virginia. Ellen worked at the bank for many years in customer service and after retirement she worked at the Cameleer in Culpeper and made many wonderful friends along the way. She is known for her kind heart, love of family, friends and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Stephen Becker; her 4 children, Michael Becker and his wife Loretta, Laurie Harper, Kathy Richards and her husband Mike, Suzie Frederick and her husband Tom and a special nephew Gregory Fleck and his wife Christy; her 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Nierle and Anita Nierle, her sister Barbara Fleck and brother Joseph Nierle.

We would like to give a special thanks to the employees and physicians of the Hope Chemo and Hope Radiation departments in Culpeper, and the employees of the Culpeper Hospice of the Rapidan.

There will be a time for family and friends to gather on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home with a memorial service and celebration of her life at 11:30 a.m. At the request of the family interment will be private.
