Gladys Marie Dulaney

Gladys Marie Dulaney died peacefully March 16, 2016 at Amerisist in Culpeper, Virginia. Mrs. Dulaney was born March 12, 1920 to the late Herbert and Susie Varner Huffman in McLean, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton H. Dulaney, and her son, Stephen H. Dulaney.

Gladys in past years enjoyed traveling in the states with her family and to several foreign countries with her friend, Rose Farley. She had a green thumb and always had flowers blooming in her yard in the summer. She especially loved violets.

A special thanks to her caregivers at Amerisist who made her final years happy ones. The family also wishes to thank Hospice of the Piedmont who helped her pass peacefully.

Gladys is survived by three nieces, Melissa Stoltz of Manassas, Virginia; Margel D. Fisher (Don) of Suffolk, Virginia; Merle D. Daczewitz (Joel) of Woodville, Virginia; and a nephew, Gerald W. Dulaney (Margie) of Winchester, Virginia; and two special cousins, Barbara Moyer and Allie Moyer of Luray, Virginia.

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, Virginia with Pastor Jeff Light officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, Virginia 22911.
