Hazel Ryder Kilby Menold

Hazel Ryder Kilby Menold, age 91, departed her earthly home May 2, 2018. Born June 7, 1926, to Lewis J. and Elsie J. Ryder, she was a Godly woman. Hazel demonstrated unconditional love and compassion for everyone throughout her long life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her; our earthly “rock”, God Rest Her Soul. Surviving Hazel are her children, Donna Brown and her husband Russel, Vickie Brown, Kaye Kilby-Pritt, Ralph W. “Bo” Kilby and his wife Sharon, Gerald A. “ Jerry” Kilby and P. Todd Kilby, two brothers, Melvin Ryder and his wife Dee and Butch Ryder and his wife Nancy, sister-in-law, Millie Ryder, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, three great, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her husband and “Love of her Life”, Ralph H. Kilby, granddaughter, Emily Raine Kilby, great-granddaughter, Samantha Marks, great-grandson, Alan Michael Brown, two sisters, Thelma Ryder and Frances Jones, three brothers, Charles, Elmer and Eugene Ryder, daughter-in-law, Robin W. Kilby and her second husband, Zene Menold. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Bible Church, 17211 Greens Corner Road, Culpeper, VA. Interment will be held privately. The family will receive friends Monday, May 7, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA.
