Helen Duncan Utz passed away on October 17, 2013 at Amerisist of Orange, in Orange, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Lenton H. Utz and Florence R. Utz of Culpeper. She is survived by one sister, Julia Mardis Utz Gibbs, of Bedminister, New Jersey, one niece, Julia Gibbs Markovich and her husband, Terry David Markovich of Bedminister, New Jersey, and one nephew, Donald L. Gibbs of Torrence, California.
She was a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church and the TEL Sunday school class. Ms. Utz retired from the Division Office of Safeway Stores Inc., in Landover, Maryland after 32 years of service.
A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery on October 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Jeff Light.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Columbia Light House for the Blind, 1825 K Street NW, Suite 1103, Washington, DC 20006 or The Salvation Army, 2626 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20037.
