James Jacob Sowers, Jr., age 58, passed away March 27, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 22, 1957 to the late James Jacobs Sowers, Sr. and Shirley Temple Collier Sowers and was a carpenter by trade.
Mr. Sowers is survived by his wife, Sherry Sowers; a daughter, Candace Sowers; daughter-in-law and caregiver, Betty Jo Gager; and sisters, Dian Brown and Doris Golightly. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his grandparents, Henry Jacob and Maudie Ellen Sowers.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Culpeper Christian Community Center, 118 North East Street, Culpeper, Virginia, officiated by Pastor Jeff Light.
