Jane Eastham Hand

A private graveside funeral service for Jane will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery, 822 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our dear, beloved aunt. Jane Eastham Hand was born near Flint Hill, Virginia, and was a graduate of Washington High School and Madison College. She received a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Maryland and taught school in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Jane is predeceased by her parents, John William Hand and Grace Virginia Eastham, and her sisters, Hazel Alexander Horgan (married to RAdm. Joseph Horgan) and Johnsie Routte Gibson (married to Robert Blake Gibson).

Jane is survived by her brother-in-law, her nieces, Patricia Childs (married to Jeffrey Childs) and Mary Horgan, and her nephew, Joseph Horgan, Jr. Jane is also survived by her great-nephews, Donald Childs (married to Allison Begin), Andrew Childs, Christopher Childs, Peter Childs, and Timothy Childs, and by her great, great niece, Annabel Childs.
