Mary Frances Corbin, 83, of Orange, VA died Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Autumn Care of Madison. She was born July 17, 1940 in Culpeper to the late Andrew Clyde Corbin and Maggie Jane Nicholson Corbin. Mary was raised in Culpeper, VA where she was one of 13 children. She loved God and her greatest joy was spending time with and cooking for her family. Mary worked as a seamstress for many years at Eileen’s Sewing Factory in Culpeper and then at the Blue Bell Wrangler Plant in Madison and Orange, where she retired. In her later years, Mary became an in-home caretaker for the elderly. Mary is survived by her two sons; Mark Corbin (Lori) and Don Corbin (Janice), two grandchildren; Joey Corbin (Chrissy) and Ashley Clatterbuck (Chris), three great-grandchildren; Bailey Corbin, Savannah Corbin and Noah Clatterbuck, brother; Irvin W. Corbin, and a host of extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband Bailey Corbin, her brothers; James C. Corbin, Hugh W. Corbin, Robert L. Corbin, Bernard H. Corbin, William A. Corbin, Raymond J. Corbin, Franklin R. Corbin, Charles E. Corbin, and her sisters; Lucy King, Roberta Minter and Virginia Embrey. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA 22701, with Pastor Dale Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery. Pallbearers serving the family will be Ed Baker, Chris Clatterbuck, Dennis Corbin, Eddie Corbin, Joey Corbin, Robert Embrey, Russell Embrey, and Phil Hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Mary’s memory to Legacy Hospice of Charlottesville or The American Heart Association.
