Patty Jo Kessinger Knupp Whetzel, 77, of Midland, VA, died Monday, September 4, 2017, at Fauquier Hospital. Born August 14, 1940, in Princeton, WV, to the late Sadie Ray Kessinger Tawney, Patty was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Casper "Cap" Whetzel of Midland, VA, two daughters, Bonnie Farmer of Front Royal, VA, Linda Knupp of Stafford, VA, two sons, Larry Kessinger of Bassett, VA and Jimmy Knupp of Manassas, VA, three brothers, Jack Tawney of Christiansburg, VA, Jerry Tawney of Bassett, VA, Joey Tawney of Collinsville, VA, two step-daughters, Melissa Green of Fredericksburg, VA and Tammy Coe of Phoenix, AZ. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will be held in Valley View Cemetery, Nokesville, VA following services. The family has entrusted Clore-English Funeral Home, Culpeper, VA, with these arrangements.
