Nécrologie de Pearl Margaret McFarland
It is with deep sorrow that we announce Pearl Margaret Moore McFarland, a Centenarian, at the age of 102, passed away at the home of her devoted daughter in Rixeyville, VA on a beautiful spring day April 23, 2019. Pearl will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and the wife of James F. McFarland who along with daughter Lillie, grandsons Adam and Ben, preceded her in death. Pearl was born to Edward Joseph Moore and Lillie Katherine Dye in Russell Springs, Kansas on November 25, 1916 and was raised with five brothers, four sisters, one of which was her twin. After graduating high school, she took nursing classes but then met her future husband who she then wed on Sept 19, 1940 in Kansas. Shortly after WW2 was upon them, her husband James left for war duty while she stayed and worked in factories for the effort. Later, after moving to Fairfax County, VA, as James was employed at the Pentagon, she gave birth and they raised two daughters named Lillie and Pearl. Lillie passed away in 1992 leaving her daughter Pearl, three grandchildren Jacob, James and Crystal, five great grandchildren Gaven, Elizabeth, Alexander, Addison and Madisen as her remaining immediate family. Pearl will be laid to rest beside her husband at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas, VA on Saturday, April 27. Funeral services are being held beforehand in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, VA at 11:00 a.m. Pearl will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered as a kind woman who always wore a smile with nary an unkind word towards her family and friends. - With Love - Please share fond memories and condolences of Pearl by visiting clore-english.com. The McFarland family has entrusted Clore-English Funeral Home with these arrangements.
