Phil Thomas Fowler

Phil was born on August 14th, 1953 in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Thomas Edward Fowler and the late Mary Alice (Evans) Fowler. He and his family grew up and lived in the Lewisburg, TN area. He is survived by his wife Sarah Thompson Fowler and they lived in Madison, Virginia. He is also survived by his brother Charles Fowler and wife Doris Ann Fowler of Lewisburg, TN, his Step-daughter Ciara Clark Spears of Portsmouth, VA, his Step Sons and sons by heart, Rodney Spears of Portsmouth, VA and Travis L. Simmons, and wife Kayla Simmons of Monterey, VA., and Step daughter Samantha M. Burgamy of Orange, VA.

He is also survived by his Grandchildren; DeShun Spears and wife Sharonnda, Cameron Spears and wife Ar’Mone, Rashard Spears, Cayla Spears, and Allison, Leah, Hazel Simmons, Hunter Burgamy and Hayden Burgamy. He is further survived by six great-grandchildren, Jamarri Spears, Jayce Spears, Jamere Spears, Journee Spears, Nylah Spears, and Ava Spears,

He passed away peacefully at home on April 4th, 2026 with his wife, brother and sister in law, and his beloved pet Buddy. With thanks to Medi Hospice of Culpeper he was able to stay at home as he wanted.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday April 25th, 2026 from 2pm to 4pm at the home of Phil and Sarah. Please reach out to Sarah with any pictures you might want to share.
